Lexie Schwarze is the Executive Director of A Courageous Voice, specializing in the prevention of human trafficking. Her advocacy began after a mission trip to Thailand in 2008, which deeply impacted her understanding of trafficking dynamics. With over 18 years dedicated to aiding survivors and more than 30 years in nonprofit work, Lexie is a recognized speaker and leader in Southeast Michigan.

Her commitment extended to her role at Hope Against Trafficking, where she served as a board member and the Executive Director. Under her leadership, she significantly enhanced their 2-year residential program for human trafficking survivors, providing restoration and hope to many. Although she retired in 2024, Lexie remains actively engaged in educating communities about the tactics used by traffickers.

Her work extends beyond raising awareness; it empowers schools, businesses, nonprofits, and first responders to recognize and respond to trafficking threats. Lexie's comprehensive approach addresses both the demand for exploitation and the socioeconomic factors that perpetuate trafficking, highlighting prevention as the key to combating this grave issue.
