A Courageous Voice (ACV) is a haven of hope and safety for children, dedicated to empowering them and the adults in their lives with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate a world filled with both offline and online dangers. Our commitment to child safety spans educating on the risks of child abuse, trafficking, and exploitation, ensuring that every child has the support and resources to live a life free from harm.
Our organization stands as a pillar in the community, working tirelessly to foster environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive in safety. Through our innovative programs, such as Kids Voices Matter and Stronger Together, we aim to create a widespread culture of awareness and prevention. ACV is not just about education; it's about creating lasting change that protects our most vulnerable, ensuring a future where every child's voice is heard and valued.
Our impact through child safety prevention education is profound and far-reaching. By focusing on saving lives and reducing victimization, we empower children, teachers, and parents to foster a culture of safety and awareness. Our programs not only raise awareness but also change the culture around child safety, promoting safe and equitable relationships. By empowering children to have a courageous voice, we pave the way for a future where every child knows how to protect themselves and advocate for their well-being. This transformative approach is our commitment to a safer world for our children.

Find answers to commonly asked questions about child safety.
Child exploitation refers to the use of a child for someone else's advantage, gratification, or profit often resulting in unjust, cruel, and harmful treatment of the child. This can range from forced labor to sexual exploitation.
Signs of abuse can be physical (bruises, avoidance of touch), emotional (withdrawal, extreme behavior changes), or behavioral (decline in school performance, persistent nightmares). Online, be cautious of changes in device use or secretive behavior.
If you suspect a child is being abused or exploited, contact local authorities, child protective services, or dial emergency services. In the U.S., you can also report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline - 1-800-THE-LOST.
Educational programs can empower children with knowledge about their rights, how to recognize safe and unsafe situations, and how to report abuse. They also equip adults with strategies to protect children and create safe environments. A Courageous Voice's Kids Voices Matter program uses prevention education to empower children in schools and other youth-serving organizations.
Community involvement is crucial. This includes staying informed about the signs of abuse, supporting child protection policies, participating in community-based child safety programs, and fostering an environment where children feel safe to report abuse.
